Taylor Robson
I’m Tay, and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and the founder of Open Roads Therapy. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, with a background that includes research, autism support therapy, and counselling. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Queen’s University and subsequently earned my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
While my education and experience have given me the tools to support my clients, I believe the most meaningful part of therapy comes from genuine human connection. I’m not a therapist who believes I have all the answers or have somehow mastered being human. I’m a real person who continues to learn, grow, and navigate life’s messy moments too. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a sense of humour into my work because I believe therapy can be both meaningful and approachable.
I’m passionate about helping people recover from burnout and people-pleasing, reconnect with themselves, rediscover their spark, and learn to show up for themselves in ways that truly matter. My approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me listening to music, playing soccer, getting lost in a scary book, travelling, spending time outdoors with friends and family, or finding reasons to laugh. I know that finding the right therapist is about more than credentials, so I welcome any questions as you get to know me and decide if we might be a good fit.

Krista Schmid
I’m Krista, clinical intern and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with Open Roads. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been carrying things on your own for a while. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, navigating relationship challenges, or going through a life transition, you don’t have to go through it alone.
My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you feel safe slowing down and speaking openly, without judgment or pressure. I believe in a holistic approach that recognizes your inner strength and wisdom, as well as the interconnectedness of your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
My diverse background and life experiences, combined with my education in counselling psychology, allow me to support you in restoring balance, healing, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
I believe change doesn’t have to happen all at once. With the right support, even small steps can begin to create a sense of clarity, connection and empowerment. When you’re ready, I’m here and would be honoured to walk alongside you as you take these next steps of your journey.

Christine Hager
I’m Christine, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), offering a calm, supportive, and trauma-informed space for clients ready to prioritize themselves and create meaningful change. My approach is eclectic and tailored, drawing from narrative, person-centred, CBT, emotion-focused, and solution-focused therapies.
I also bring 18 years of experience as a registered pharmacist and pharmacy manager, which informs my understanding of the connection between physical and mental health, particularly for those managing chronic illness or complex life circumstances.
I have supported women in shelter settings and young adults in transitional housing with concerns such as trauma, relationships, addiction, and life transitions. I’m committed to compassionate, inclusive care and supporting each client’s unique path forward.
